MiniEscape Co. ("MiniEscape," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website and application available at miniescape.co (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. By using MiniEscape, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. MiniEscape Co. is operated as a sole proprietorship under the laws of the State of Texas.
Information you provide directly: your email address, full name, and password (passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text); your home airport and travel style preferences (e.g., Foodie, Explorer, Culture) set during onboarding; credit or debit card details submitted at checkout, which are collected and processed directly by Stripe and never stored on our servers. Information generated by your use of the Service: dates and budgets you enter when searching for flights; AI-generated travel itineraries you generate, along with associated flight details, booking status, and trip dates; if you use the Group Trip feature, we store your trip details and the names of guests who confirm attendance — guest email addresses are collected only for the purpose of sending confirmation notifications and are never exposed to other users or anonymous visitors; search counts and subscription status to enforce plan limits. Information collected automatically: standard server logs including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps; cookies and local storage used to maintain your login session and app preferences.
We use the information we collect to: create and manage your account; provide flight search results and AI-generated itineraries; process subscription payments through Stripe; enforce plan limits (free tier: 1 search per month; paid tier: unlimited searches); send transactional emails, such as group trip confirmation notifications; improve the Service and diagnose technical issues. We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information for advertising.
We share information only as necessary to operate the Service: Stripe for payment processing (Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy); Base44, our hosting and application platform, which stores your account data and application records; a third-party flight data provider — when you search for flights, your home airport and desired travel date are sent to retrieve available options, and no personally identifiable information beyond these search parameters is shared; a third-party AI service — your destination and travel style preferences are processed to generate personalized itinerary content; a third-party image service — your destination city name is sent to generate destination photos. We do not share your information with any other third parties except as required by law.
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Saved itineraries and trip records are retained indefinitely unless you delete them or close your account. If you close your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it longer.
MiniEscape is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a user under 18 has created an account, we will delete that account and all associated data promptly.
We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS) and hashed password storage. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
